The prevailing mindset becomes: "If I can’t buy a home even after saving for a lifetime, I might as well give myself definite satisfaction today." The starting point was clearly a structural flaw: as the difficulty of growth escalated, individuals abandoned monumental goals and opted for "small yet luxurious meaning-making."

The minimum "cost of maintaining dignity" required to preserve self-esteem has drastically increased.
Accustomed to small luxuries and emotional gratification, individuals lose the capacity to accumulate the seed money or capital needed for true self-development and growth. The pursuit of modest meaning ultimately pushes the difficulty of growth to an even more impossible level.

We must ask ourselves: Is the meaning I consume an honest priming pump that helps me endure a harsh reality, or is it a sweet anesthetic that paralyzes real growth opportunities? Only a cool-headed gaze that sees through this contradictory loop will serve as the autonomous key to steering one’s life toward real growth, rather than being swayed by fictional meaning.
